Good Evening, Ma’am, Acting on secret information, today, i.e., 31/08/2026, a raid was conducted by Excise Inspector Sushil Singh, Excise Inspector Manjit Singh and Excise Inspector Sahil Ranga, along , accompanied by the Excise Police,under the directions of AC(X), Jalandhar Range-II, Ms. Harsimrat Kaur Grewal, and under the supervision of E.O. Sh. Sunil Gupta and E.O. Sh. Jaspreet Singh. The raid was conducted at the residence of Vikas Raj alias Batta, S/o Sh. Vijay Kumar, House No. 87, Mohalla No. 30, Jalandhar Cantt. During the raid, the following liquor was recovered: 1. 3 bottles (750 ml each) of Punjab Kings Whisky. 2. 90 nips (180 ml each) of Punjab Kings Whisky. Total recovery: 93 bottles/nips. Fir is under process at PS Jalandhar Cantt The Track & Trace holograms had been torn off from all the recovered bottles. The accused is a habitual offender. During the raid, the accused was apprehended by the Excise team. However, after the family members of the accused contacted the neighbouring persons, a number of local people gathered at the spot and came to the rescue of the accused, successfully managing to take him away. During the incident, the local people also manhandled the Excise Police personnel and abused and threatened the Excise team. Regarding the incident of abuse and threats, the statements of the Excise team were recorded with the local police PS Jalandhar Cantt. Regards.
